FAQ
What is the primary use of OrigoTracker Sequi?
It is used for collecting and tracking production data for one or multiple stages of each individual product or batch, by reading data directly from your equipment and binding the retrieved data to the serial number or batch number of your product.
How does the product retrieve data from equipment?
If your equipment’s PLC communication protocol is supported, you can connect an Ethernet cable to the PLC via the local area network (LAN) to retrieve data. If your equipment does not have a PLC, we can also collect data manually through operators entering and submitting data on a PAD.
What communication protocols and PLCs are supported?
We support Siemens S7, OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus TCP, Mitsubishi MELSEC, Omron, and others. We also have a development framework that enables rapid implementation of new communication protocols.
What prerequisites must my factory meet to use the product?
Only two prerequisites are required: 1) The PLC and OrigoTracker are plugged into the same LAN. 2) The PLC data tags are accessible, and the tag addresses are known.
How does this product differ from KEP Server?
Unlike KEP Server which is primarily for reading data, our product integrates data reading, storage, search, traceability, trend charts, and more. Additionally, KEP Server is software-based requiring installation, while our product is a hardware-based, plug-and-deploy solution.
Is OrigoTracker Sequi an MES system?
No, it is not an MES, but it can complement an MES by reducing the time and cost of custom programming for data retrieval during MES implementation.
